Michael F. Armstrong, Esq.
Stephen L. Hammerman, Esq.
Jules Martin, Esq.
These gentlemen authored the "Armstrong Report" following Reyes' confession. If you haven't read it, I suggest you Google it, and read it in its entirety.
Michael R. Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York City, and the various attorneys hired by his administration. They vigorously fought the defendants' claims for false arrest, malicious prosecution etc., for more than 10 years, refusing to settle and arguing that the police had acted in good faith. I doubt they would have done so if they thought this were truly a clear-cut case of coerced, bogus confessions.
It's just my opinion that the defendants were, most likely, participants in the attack and accomplices in the rape of the jogger (even if they didn't have intercourse with the victim themselves). But I'm really not trying to prove to you that my opinion is the right one, I'm just stating what I think. My point is just that many other intelligent, well-informed people have looked at the evidence -- even after Reyes' confession -- and reached the same conclusion that I have.
