Referee question: what is the proper call when a guy drives the middle of the key and does a running floater free of contact but gets a fair amount of contact as he hits the ground from the rotating defender who cuts off the basket. Defender isn't set nor rebounding, but shooters shot is already on the rim by the time contact is made about the time he hits the ground. I called nothing but got flack from offense. Defender didn't slide under him as he shot just didn't give him room to follow through after landing his runner. Any thoughts?
