BYU has done a great job with the first two parts of the plan related to football, but they haven't even considered the future football aspirations of some players. It is almost like the plan ends with "why am I here."

To Foofs's point I am going to use an example close to home. Utah has cultivated a history of DL and DB's in the NFL. It took time....A LOT OF TIME.... but they have been consistent and have developed kids to the point where they can now walk into a home and sell the university, the PAC 12 and their track record of putting players in the NFL. BYU can't sell the NFL, and for some players that is a selling point.

I think Kalani is going to address this and has the coaches in place to make it happen. BYU should regularly be placing DL, OL, LB in the NFL. My hope would be they would develop QBs and other skill position players as well at some point. When you get to that point the talent and development of players is going to gradually elevate your program. It's happening at Utah and every other program that has a plan in place. BYU just hasn't had much of a plan. It has been about getting kids to come and then working with them in isolation from anything else.
