No Honor Code = better athletes. It's really that simple. BYU is very limited

in who they can recruit. Utah State not so much. For that matter, it's why Boise State, TCU, and Utah have been able to lift their programs from obscurity in the past few decades. More, better athletes are available nowadays, and everyone except BYU is free to offer them scholarships without a care in the world. Well, I guess the military academies and Ivy League schools have a similar problem, but certainly not Utah State.
