The data are a little more messy when trying to tease out how much of a region's total CFB fans are for a specific team ... but I did the best I could.
The biggest finding is that, even within team's own media markets, BYU comes out on top, despite ours being the only fan base considered here that has more fans OUTSIDE of our host media market than within it.
Some of these final figures are a little suspect in my opinion. Like Cinci definitely has more fans than this shows and UConn doesn't have this kind of FOOTBALL fanbase at all. But these are all based on the figures that the NYTimes utilized to measure CFB fandom in their 2014 article. Blame them for the irregularities.
