It is irrelevant if the punch was weak. There is a reason a punch is an automatic suspension. Taylor and Emery jawed and grabbed all game long, but nothing that Taylor and Emery did to that point was outside of what happens in a game. Just look at what Tyler Haws went through on a nightly basis! The defense may be considered dirty, but it is part of the game. Finally, there is no travesty here, it is a basketball game that people play for fun. The consequence of the actions are minimal compared to a real life travesty.
