I mean, the time it takes to even pull the steak from the heat, or remove from heat, put in a plate, get the side dishes, sit down, whatever, is close to the 5 min rest period.
I just simply pull all th steaks off, bring them inside on a plate, have the prayer, everyone loads their plate and we eat. Never have put a stop watch to it, but pretty close to a 5 min rest is my guess before the steak is actually cut into.
And yes, all meat tastes better if you rest before cutting into, unless you don't and you like the taste. Just don't cut everyone's meat for them.
