The ROC wasn't created as it was any sooner because of long time season ticket holders that didn't want to lose their seats, preventing a unified student section. The reason that took so long is because the ROC is gigantic compared to Utah's student section and a lot of changes needed to be made to make it possible. But feeling bad because we have a stop sign or a stupid nick name for our student section or a forced hand signal because the dirty yewts do too is just dumb. Every program has every one of these things as well.
