Why in the world would we need a 32 team playoff?
And why would you want the playoffs to potentially be equal in length to 50% of the regular season?
11 game regular season followed by a 16 team playoff will work just fine and I guarantee you that teams 17-32 left out in the cold would never have made it through the tourney anyway.
