Huntsman had full ride offers from Texas A & M, Houston, Purdue and others. He accepted a preferred walk-on at BYU (no scholarships available) instead. Huntsman played Varsity basketball his freshman and sophomore years (no football). Played TE his Jr. year on J/V, and DE his Sr. year (out of his natural OLB/Tight End position for the sake of the team because he was strong and fast). Even at that, Huntsman was awarded TEXAS FOOTBALL 6A All-Sate Honorable Mention Defensive End. How many players do you know that started as a walk-on at BYU and moved to the 2 deep before the season even started as a freshman? Doesn't sound like he has any problem with speed or athleticism to me.
