Their former coach, Jerry Kill, who had to retire last year due to illness, was a groomsman at Patterson's wedding - way back when, they used to be assistants together. That friendship continued thereafter and they routinely talk to each other - usually after every game. Their new coach - Tracy Claeys(sp?) - is also a CGP friend.
