but he's probably correct about TCU's position and he's probably getting it from Minnesota sources, who know TCU people pretty well. We've been in conferences (or in the case of the former Big East schools, about to be in conferences) with virtually all the candidates and are uniquely placed to know a whole lot about them without having to look at the "data." BYU's the top candidate and it's not close. And we want to strengthen the Big12 and make it more stable, and make more money and get a conference network and enhance its football prowess. The only other team that would do that is Boise and they don't really have much of a chance for a wide variety of reasons that it's not necessary to go into here.
But TCU's support isn't dispositive - you need to focus on the folks in Austin, Norman and (to a lesser extent) Morgantown and Stillwater.
