I listen to the local guys when realignment is a hot topic.

Gunther jut interviewed Dvis. here are the key takeaways.

Davis didn't act like he is really dialed in to what UT is up to. I don't know about his credibility.

He said he thinks the B12 expands by 4 teams.

He said he would rank the candidates: 1. Cincy, 2, UH. 3.BYU, 4. UConn

He was pretty positive about UH's credentials. Not sure what to make of that.

He said that BYU should be doing more and making more noise if they want in. This was an interesting comment. I think that TH's approach has been a good one, but Davis thinks he has been too quiet. You wonder if Davis has any idea how much TH has spoken with key people. You also wonder if TH has been in contact with the conference a lot more than UT admin and so Davis is unaware of how much communication there might be.

He also said that the biggest issue with BYU, according to administrators around the league, has been the perception that they are another UT. He said they have an "ego." Interesting that it wasn't Sunday play. it wasn't geography or academic freedom.

So he thinks BYU gets in, but not among the first two.

He was clear that the league does not really want any football-only schools.

Putting Houston ahead of BYU is baffling to me if you are just looking at what the school has to offer, but he probably has a bit of a Texas bias I presume.
