I have no insider info into the other schools, but CSU makes sense for the Big12 and for BYU

CSU would bring a natural rival to BYU, capture the Colorado market, and build in the footprint of the Big12. If you ask the administrators at CSU they will tell you they have tried to pattern their athletics after BYU.

I would certainly take CSU over Memphis!

Bring on BYU, Cincinnati, CSU and Houston!!!!!!!!!!
