A lot of Big12 media is starting to talk about the Big1G because Texas likes the idea of being in the most lucrative and prestigious conference, including the academic aspect. Granted Texas won't likely consider moving until the GORs is due and they would have to dump the last portion of the LHN contract.

The truth is that the Big1G contact might become so lucrative as to pay as much or more than what Texas will get with the LHN. The Big1G has huge markets and prestigious teams. Payout will be huge when it contract comes due, already is.
