That is just never going to happen, unless the P5 split and FBS gets its own
championship. The P5 conferences own the CFP and they aren't interested in sharing. If they ever go to an 8 team playoff it will be because they have all banded together, left the NCAA and redivided into 8 divisions, not because they are going to give anything to the G5.
Just like NDSU is the king of their NCAA Division, BSU can be the king of the G5 FBS Division
