I view it as a necessary evil. We want to join because we will reap a lot of benefits from joining, but we also know that there's also a lot of garbage that comes along with membership in the Big 12 (Texas politics, etc).

Besides, why do we need to be 100% happy about it, 100% of the time? The administration probably needs to project that, but the fans don't. We can be grateful but still have frustrations and concerns.
