defensive timeouts
not trying to start another Bronco debate here, but I have wondered about one of the common complaints.
why are timeouts when on defense considered worse than timeouts while on offense?
It seems to me if you are out of defensive sync on 3rd down, call a TO and get a stop forcing them to punt, that's as good as being out of offensive sync, calling a TO and getting a first down. Either way, you have the ball and you have a 1st down and continued chances to score.
