For one, just because they were wrong in that situation doesnt mean they are perpetually wrong going forward. Secondly, I'm personally under the impression that things changed pretty dramatically going into the July 19 meeting. Expansion could have very well been dead, then with the ACC news (and who knows what other factors), that could have turned the tide. And maybe Oklahoma was more convincing than people expected. Either way, I don't think we can continue to say that ESPN, SI, and all the other major news outlets have no idea what they're talking about. They pay big money for sources and more often than not they are right.
