RE: Anyone looked into buying Stock in vid angel?
Is it a gamble yes. All stock purchases are.

Here's the difference: purchasing Vidangel stock is both an monetary investment and a donation towards protection of current consumer/family protection laws. Personally, I am always looking for a way to invest in companies that provide morally and ethically enriching services. I'm a huge fan of Vidangel because they provide a great service that is super convenient and family friendly.

So, even if Vidangel loses their case at the Supreme Court I look at my stock purchase as a donation to protect the 2005 Family Movie Act, which gives consumers rights to censor content in their home. Movie producers and directors shouldn't overrule the right of individuals to censor content they've purchased, and Congress agrees.

As one who enjoys watching movies on a regular basis I understand the idea of a film being art, but at the same time film is the only art I can think of that provides no filter. To a certain extent music is filtered on the radio and almost every other art medium requires or allows description and filter preparation for the audience. MPAA ratings are generic warnings, but provide no details as to the true content of a film. The fact that I can go to Vidangel, see a brief description of all the flagged content, filter it, and then sit down and watch a movie has revolutionized the way I approach film.

So what if Vidangel wins...well the pay off has potential to be huge considering 56 million Americans would use a movie filtering service. Oh, and it's cheaper than any movie service out there. It beats Redbox hands down because I can instantly get any movie without having to drive anywhere and most new releases are available the day after movies hit stores.

Bottom line, is it a risk, yes. But it's also an investment/donation for a company willing to defend current laws protecting consumer and family rights.
