Because Tanner would obviously be exactly the same as last year and have not
improved and still have no running game.
The primary point now is that Taysom is not effective. The one thing he seemed to do well is make initially good reads of the defense, but that was lost last night and may actually be more about Jamaal than we thought. He consistently sent the plays into the strength of the defense and scrambled himself right into pressure. He's not playing well. Period. So why not develop the future now. Taysom has nothing more to prove, no draft stock to raise. He's getting treated like a tackling dummy. The planned offense has been basically scrapped for him. What's the point?
