I agree it was silly
and it was meant to be. Of course they would not sit Jamaal. The main argument in the original post was to sit Taysom to get Tanner more experience. What does that tell other recruits? We won't stick with you if you even if your struggles may not be your fault. I wish Taysom was having a Heisman year and we were not having this discussion. If our o-line was doing great, or even consistently good, and our receivers were making plays and Taysom still was having these struggles I would be all in on the Tanner bus, but that is not the case. I believe that if Tanner was named starter, we would be having these same debates about how we have a senior playmaker on the sideline as our sophomore quarterback was not getting the job done. Both are gifted athletes and I hate to have to choose one over the other, but the reality (in my mind) is that our woes offensively have more (or just as much) to do with other aspects of the than QB.
Disclaimer: I could be horribly wrong and perhaps we would be undefeated if Tanner was our QB, but with my vast football knowledge (TIC) I don't see different results with Tanner. I do know we would not have seen some of the cool stiff arms we saw this year.
