Working with BYU has to be very interesting for ESPN since it's their contract
that presumably comes the closest to paying a school its actual value. No benefitting from subsidies or having to carry dead weight. Would love to hear their executives' unfiltered thoughts on expansion, conference and team values, etc.

Imagine if every school were like that -- or if there were no school contracts but instead only contracts for individual games. Logistically impossible but an in-season bidding system for upcoming games would be hugely entertaining.

If you had too much time on your hands, you could probably try to reverse engineer how the contract money actually paid for last year might have shaken out in different scenarios.
