They essentially got two "buy" games. For an opponent of BYU's quality, that is easily $1.5 million per game. So ND may have to cut BYU a check for upwards of $3 million or the value of a BYU home game.

Notre Dame only has two open away games through 2025: one in 2021, and one in 2025.
