But back then it was Hardees, Wendy's or Der Weinerschnitzel on that side of the campus. Those others were not gathering places. You could go to Stevenettes and play songs on the juke box, have a shake, and talk about the game or whatever.

The other iconic place I miss is the Springville Drive Inn Theater. That place was so fun in the summer. Hardly anybody would watch the movies. Everyone just wandered the parking lot.
