I agree w many CB'ers that have stated that our OOC travel games make up for a lackluster bowl.

Look at the BSU model. No (or very very few) big neutral OOC games. Everything is stacked to pursue one good game vs one name opponent. And this year they will play 6-6 Baylor on a baseball field.

Meanwhile, we played in 3 pro stadiums and vs brand names. Way better. Next year, isn't playing LSU in Houston comparable to a top flight bowl? I argue it is. Plus going to Hawaii, Vegas, Mississippi...awesome road trips.

I firmly believe JB is wrong. At least he is still thinking of 1980s schedules.

It would be nice to have both. I'd like a better November. But if I had to choose, I like our Indy>>>BSU's formula.

And the cure to November's irrelevance is to win. We are still in the conversation if we win. I don't think winning a G5 league championship is going to get anyone excited. Maybe in 1985. But not 2017.
