Going to MWC would mean less visibility to nation, more recruits loss to P5 schools (more than currently losing), less excitement for fans, and more games against mediocre teams--sorry but playing 2 P5 games a year isn't the same as 4-5. IN 1985 it was good enough to play mediocre teams but not anymore. I do think that most fans would lose interest faster than they are now by November and generally speaking fans wouldn't really care about winning the conference championship. We may not playing at a great level now but going back to MWC/AAC would only exacerbate the current issues.

Having said that, I wouldn't be so against the idea if the CFP expanded to an 8+ team format. Until something gives to access for NC, Indie is the only rout to push ourselves for greatness. Boise hasn't been able to consistently win the MWC and I have no expectation that we would arrive and immediately win out...see B-Ball with WCC. The difference is we can compete for a NC consistently in WCC...until G5 is allowed back to the table, I really don't want anything to do with it.
