My first thought is he's posturing for a different job
If he wants interest from bigger teams he has to sell his way of doing things. To me, his statement does just that. I think he is selling himself more than he is making a profound statement. My only issue is Georgia Tech. Navy's past coach to their offense to GT and they been average/decent at best. I don't think the option works well with most college football players. It requires phenomenal discipline of which most prideful college players don't have. To be honest, I think BYU could run the option and do really well. They get much better players than Navy but not as good as the P5 powerhouses. BYU also gets a more disciplined player than even Utah does. But I don't think the fanbase would accept such a boring and methodical approach to offense.
