as it's coming from teenagers, but if you're really that good and you keep working, you'll make it. They don't often care about this or even see it sometimes, but if that's all they were concerned about, they could go about anywhere. Now if they want to have a great shot at championships, play in a certain system, for a certain coach, have certain things like area/culture, facilities, etc... That varies. But your shot at the NFL is largely on you. And at a smaller school you have a better shot at getting that process started faster... Which doesn't mean much as most are willing to wait their turn/fight for PT at bigger programs.
It matters, but only because the recruits themselves seem to think it's so necessary. I would say there's definitely a point though if you just flat out aren't really getting guys in. Some would question a coaching/development problem and not want to be a part of that.
Either way, I'm excited it's FINALLY a 4-3 and BYU can be the place that "sends DL pro."
