He was heavily recruited by BYU, Stanford and even Harvard (he is an excellent student). But he really connected with the coaching staff at Gonzaga. Both of his parents and a sister are BYU alumni. So we had a fafir shot at him. I really don't think Rose could have done anything to sway Jesse's decision. Don't fault Rose for this one. Few just really connected with Jesse.
