It will be interesting, though I'm not sure they will "back out"

I could see Tennessee trying to strong arm BYU unto the deal, saying we'll pay you millions to play here or we'll cancel. My hope is that BYU would call their bluff, and hope there is a large penalty for Tennessee not returning the game.
