Rose deserves praise for adjusting tempo and improving shot selection. Don't remember him ever slowing it down before.
And it looked like a difference maker in another game where a WCC power allowed BYU zero points in transition. Obviously, if BYU is not going to succeed with the fast break, they have to work for better shots in the half court game. Not to mention BYU's relative lack of depth calls for conserving energy.
Looked to me like it was more Gonzaga trying to speed up BYU, not the other way around.
BYU tempo in the last 11 minutes slowed way down.
