Our o-line was not up to par with pass protection and our receivers were not running great routes. Add to the fact that Ty was trying to implement his offense and the players were struggling with the cerebral part of it, it makes sense that the whole offense would have struggled with Tanner in as qb from the get go. In order to utilize Tanner's passing talent Ty needed to have Tanner learn the offense better (which it sounds like that has happened), needed Empey to coach up the o-line for better pass blocking, and needed the receivers to run better routes and be on the same page as the qb.
