For me it's simple. While I feel Much the same way I did about Bronco as I do Rose (love them both) I just don't have the stamina for it anymore. Both groups of people have an emotional connection to their angst concerning these two coaches.

Lots are saying that Kalani will take us to new heights, and I hope he does, but imperically 2016 was very similar to 2015. 9-4. Loss to Utah, recruiting ranking about the same as Bronco.

(Don't get me wrong. I love Kalani and I have hope that he will take BYU to that next step, but the reality is that because of BYU's limitations, and a consistently tougher schedule that next step is much bigger one than some would like to admit. What I mean is that my expectations are tempered, and I am happy with the direction of the program.)

The same is true for Rose. While Rose has not had the PR issues that Bronco brought on himself, he has become a victim of his own success. And while this season was a disappointment in some ways, it still was not without is moments. The biggest being the win over the#1 team in their house. And even in a down year with a string 5 full of freshman and sophomores buy still won 20 games and is in the post season.

The Rose haters can pound sand. I love the guy. He is widely respected across the country, he's been very successful, he's a great coach and a better man. I'm just not going to waste my breath on the detractors. The argument had already gotten too emotional. I have to steer away from CB during any game whether it's football or basketball. This year it was Taysom vitriol during football games. Now it's Rose hatred.

I wonder who will be the focus of CB ire this fall... The only certainty I have is that someone will be.
