4 of Rose's teams are in the top 10 in school history

Basically, when 1 out of 3 years you're giving the fans top 10 in school history performance, then when the fans see a mere 33rd all time performance (this year's current ranking), and the fans are calling for the coach's head, I think that can be said he's a victim of his own success.
The fact of the matter is that it is MUCH more difficult to make the tourney in the WCC. The deck is stacked against BYU in this regard. If you don't believe me, just look at the SRS of BYU in the MWC and if they went to the tourney. In the MWC, if BYU was above a 10 in SRS, they were in. In the WCC, they have been left out of the tourney with a 10+ SRS twice now.
