I'm not a big fan of publicly criticizing college kids for their on-field

performance, and try to void doing so. They're just kids, not paid professionals, and don't deserve to be skewered when they fall short. I had several friends who played on BYU's football and basketball teams when I was a student there, and they were just regular guys doing the best they could. So no, I've never really had the issue you describe.
