I agree with you on an individual level, on an individual level one should not
blame their parents for their issues. But, on a macro level it is very much to blame for what is going on, parents outsourced parenting to the schools and the schools taught false things to their children and the parents didn't push back. Personal finance should be part of the required high school curriculum, the stuff millennials do not understand about debt, health insurance, budgeting, etc. is astounding.
