One of the legacies of the greatest generation is giving birth--literally to all those baby boomers.

Baby boomers cocked up the system beyond repair. They sucked the life out the economy and will continue to do so until they croak off. Perhaps the only good thing they can do at this point is to let their Gen X kids inherit.

Gen X is sandwiched between the two biggest generations. It will continue to get screwgied by geezers and will have less power than millennials as the years go by.

E.g.

Pilots used to have to retire relatively young. This was standard practice and it made way for the younger pilots to move up in seniority and pay. The Great Recession hits and greedy baby boom pilots that invested poorly pushed to increase the age of retirement.

Another

All public sector pension plans without exception are being robbed blind by over generous benefits, huge multiples, double dipping etc.

The Baby Boom killed the traditional pension plan.
