A pre-3pt rule player such as Ainge is at a disadvantage when you compare current players to them. Sure Ainge may be top five, but the 3 pt rule lowers the scoring bar for later players like Emery.
That, and the 10+ more games in a season now, are why the new all time BYU career scoring records by Fredette & Haws were not that big of a deal to long time BYU fans.
Kind of reminds me of dumbing down the ACT and SAT, but then pretending nothing changed.
