He wouldn't get anywhere near a million, there are only a handful of non NBA
players who get that much and they are almost all former NBA guys. If you can stick in the NBA for 1-2 years you'll make more than you would in 5-6 years abroad. Plus when you can't play in the NBA anymore you'll get paid more in foreign leagues because of the NBA experience. The most important thing is making sure when you get to the NBA you are prepared so you can stick in the league for a few years. Better to wait a year and make 500-700k in the NBA then go straight to Italy and make $120k or something
