Everything except maximized earning potential
I can't help but wonder at how so many people in this thread that are firmly in the "he is gone no matter what" camp ignore the biggest issue, money.

In order to maximize his earnings he needs to make NBA money, that should be his top priority. His best options to get into the NBA are now (looking less likely as time goes on) second go back to BYU for another year, then declare, and a distant third, would be go to a foreign professional league and hope he develops there to get a shot at the NBA (historically, this is a very long shot, very few people have done this that weren't already in the NBA before going foreign)

If I was Mikas financial adviser, I would be telling him, take your best shot at getting drafted this year, if that doesn't work out, even if BYU is not your favorite place, it is your second best option to maximize your lifetime earnings, because an NBA contract is so much more lucrative than foreign contracts, and having been in just his 1st year back from his mission, he likely has more upside room for improving his draft stock by sticking in college than most of his declare early competition. As a fan that watched his improvement throughout the season, I don't think he is close to his ceiling, and that has me believing that he actually can improve his draft position significantly by using another year of college eligibility. I don't doubt that foreign professional ball would probably be better for his development, but the fact of the matter is, unless he can become a dominant force in year 1, which isn't likely, it would probably take him a few foreign years of development and then dominance before the NBA would even give him a sniff again, and with age being a factor, college is likely a faster route to the NBA. The only reasoning that I could see for him going foreign at this point, is if he believes he really doesn't have the talent to get an NBA contract, and is content to just start his moderate foreign earnings 1 year sooner because he thinks that the NBA likelihood is so remote.

I know all this sounds way to logical, and flys in the face of secret conversations with family members, but consider me a skeptic that any potential agents wouldn't be telling him the same thing, because they want to maximize their earnings off him, which is why he hasn't retained one yet.
