I'll share a little secret I learned, since I don't live in Utah anymore.
I used to travel every week for work. I parked in off-site long-term parking, and would take the shuttle in.

If I flew SWA, I had enough miles to use the Business Select line.

But if I flew Delta, which I didn't fly as much at the time, I would sit on the shuttle in front so I could see where the line was in Terminal 2. If I could see the line extending across the sky link/bridge, and it was after 10am, I would bypass Terminal 2 and go to the International terminal security line. Even though there was only one line there, it was usually shorter than waiting through the Terminal 2 line. I flew out in the mornings usually, and Int'l would open around 10am, not sure when it closed.

I moved away from Utah 5 years ago, so I'm not sure if it's the same setup currently or not, but it saved my bacon a couple times when I encountered a long line in T2.
