Word on the street is that Amazon is looking into it also.

IMO, it will have a big impact relatively quickly. Businessmen will appreciate the ability to be productive in the car. It will almost immediately be safer than driving one's self, so it will have safety appeal (except to those that don't trust technology). And it will likely be more fuel efficient too.

I doubt it comes into the domain of boats, atvs, etc. any time soon, but I would guess that farming equipment is already getting fitted with some GPS-guided tech (shoot, we already have vacuum cleaners that work that way).
