If you look at Emery's game log from last year, notice how his shot attempts
Go down in conference play.

He had 4 games with fewer than 10 attempts in non-conference play, then 12 times in conference.
Granted a little injury and a slump impacted that, but it seemed to me that somewhere along the way he realized his role was not to be the #1 scorer. Early in the year it felt like he was trying to establish himself as the next Jimmer or Ty Haws and get 20+ ppg.
He will likely be streaky and remain as a gunner, but I think his effectiveness will go up.
As for Haws, I think you are confusing his body type for his skillset.
Yes we get lots of skinny, white 6'4" dudes who can shoot.
But how many of those in the past two decades could put up 29 against the #1 team in country and a good defensive team at that?
The main difference I see is a quick release off the dribble, plus some vision and craftiness. He nearly matched Chase Fischer's senior year production as a freshman, with more playmaking.
The combo of passing, snaking to the bucket, and pull up 3's is a skillset I can't really think of in recent BYU memory besides Jimmer of course.

TJ is way more athletic and has way more upside than his brother, but listening to most on here you'd never know it.

You have to project BYU at #3, given that SMC and Zags are projected to be top 20 teams. Cougs can still be improved.
