Totally. Me too. But those things don't have to be tied to all the goofiness of

the BSA. They don't have to be limited to boys either. No reason we can't have a "youth" program that does all the awesome stuff, plus religious stuff, plus social stuff, and do it all without merit badges and without the goofy scouting traditions that the kids don't care about.
