Down the coast in that area. Mostly Lincoln City to Newport. It was a fun area, the beach was fun, went to the aquarium, shops, good food, etc. I'm no Oregon expert but we loved that area. We rented a house right on the beach so we could walk down in a few mins.

You don't swim in the water, it is too cold, but we played and had a blast. I actually got some kites and my kids loved them.
