a coworker/friend of mine told me a year or so ago. His son played football for and graduated from Timpview. He told me that Cary Whittingham tries to channel all of his best players to his brother at Utah. He said if a player is not one of his best players he tells them that he doesn't think that they can make it at Utah and that they should look at BYU. He also said he believes that the principal at Timpview, who is a big Ute fan, had this in mind when they hired Cary.
I can remember when Timpview was a talent pipeline for BYU. I sounds like that has changed.
