As a former Timpview student and Cary Whittingham student, I disagree.

As a former Timpview student, Cary Whittingham student (for weight training, not football) and staff member at Timpview from 2012-2016, I can tell you that the kids at Timpview bleed blue. Not only that, but there is a strong polynesian community at Timpview that love Kalani Sitake and what BYU football has become under Kalani. The football program at Timpview is not any less BYU now then when I graduated in 2008--it's just not as good of a program anymore. Instead of sending 5 kids to D1 football per year, with 3-4 kids committing to BYU, Timpview has recently been sending 3 kids to D1 football with 1-2 of them committing to BYU. The days of Timpview Football dominance during my era and my brother's era (state champs in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009) are over. But Timpview is still as loyal to BYU as ever, if not more so with Kalani.
