I understand that Bernard somehow messed up, which got him suspended from playing in games. Everybody makes their mistakes, and Iwould never judge or criticize him for that. Whatever happened, I'm sure he feels bad about the mess he created.

If he decides to transfer because he feels he was done dirty by BYU, disappointing, but fine. We'll never know the whole story, so I'm not going to judge him or criticize him for that. He might even have some good reasons, who knows.

But purposely fanning the flames of distraction with talk of transferring to the team's biggest rival a week before the season starts and just a few weeks before playing that same rival is disrespectful to his teammates and his coaches and is pretty selfish. Maybe his brother has gone off of the reservation and is making some of this stuff up, but it doesn't appear that he or his family have tried to shut him up. Not cool, and that is going to leave a bad taste in everybody's mouth.
