5 deaths this year? Wow...
I'd say that's 5 too many. What's crazy to me is that every July when these teams start doing 2 a days in 100 degree heat you read about these preventable deaths every year. I don't get it. Why do they keep this tradition up when it kills kids and sends so many to the hospital for treatment? Doesn't make any sense to me why coaches keep this up in 95 plus July.

The other sad thing about football is the life long pain and in many cases pain pill addiction. CTE has the focus now, but I'm just talking about 40 year olds who can't walk because their knees, backs, and hips are shot from the impacts they took from age 8-18. Many just HS players.

It certainly gives one pause when you look at it sometimes.
